- STUNNING CEILING GIVES KITCHEN A LIFT
In
the past, ceilings have largely been overlooked when
kitchens are designed and refurbished. Yet Luxalon
aluminium ceilings from Hunter Douglas open up huge
potential for homeowners to put their own stamp on
a room, as well as offering many practical advantages
over plaster ceilings.
The
kitchen refurbishment of a house in Oldham is a great
example of how aluminium ceilings can be used to achieve
stunning effects that lift a room above the everyday.
The inspiration of interior designer, CJ Penny of
Better By Design, was to create a feeling of light
and space in harmony with the décor, which
has been echoed throughout the rest of the house.
To make the most of the room space, the designer chose
panels in varying widths of gold, brushed steel and
cream to turn the original split level ceiling into
a sleek modern finish, enhanced by down lighters inset
into the ceiling.
Luxalon
ceilings are ideal for any room but offer a real bonus
for kitchens and bathrooms where condensation can
be a problem with conventional ceilings. The aluminium
panels can simply be cleaned with a damp cloth and
need no painting or additional maintenance.
The
range is available in a huge palette of colours and
finishes to suit traditional and contemporary interiors.
Curves and extra design features can be added and
all the systems are easily fixed to plasterboard or
suspended for simple installation. The panels are
also recyclable. |
